St. Augustine Distillery

Where we are.
Both of us are at St. Augustine Distillery. Florida’s first post-Prohibition distillery, running a clean bourbon program and a rum that earns its place on the shelf. St. Augustine is the proof that serious American whiskey doesn’t only come from Kentucky and Tennessee.
The detail.
What is St. Augustine Distillery?
St. Augustine Distillery at 112 Riberia Street in St. Augustine, Florida is housed in the historic 1917 St. Augustine Ice Plant — the oldest ice manufacturing facility in Florida. Founded in 2011 (opened to the public March 2014) by co-founders Philip McDaniel (CEO) and Mike Diaz, the operation is the first craft distillery to legally produce and sell bourbon in Florida since Prohibition.
The flagship Florida Double Cask Bourbon is the first bourbon fermented, distilled, aged, and bottled in Florida (released September 2016). The portfolio also includes Florida Cane Vodka, New World Gin, Pot Distilled Rum, and Port Finished Bourbon. The distillery was named *Distiller Magazine’s* 2024 Distillery of the Year, and the tour has been recognized as Best Whiskey Tour in North America (2018 Drammie Awards) and USA Today’s Best Distillery Tour (2023).
