What is West Bottoms Whiskey Co.?

West Bottoms Whiskey Co. at 1321 W. 13th Street is the working distillery in Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms district, opened to the public in 2023. Alex Lindsey is Master Distiller-Blender. The flagship is Convergence Whiskey — and the Convergence Blending Class, limited to fifteen guests and led by Lindsey, is one of the more hands-on educational programs in the Kansas City whiskey scene.

The tasting room is built inside a former rail tunnel — the ‘train tunnel parlor’ — reflecting West Bottoms’ rail-and-stockyards heritage.
